toborthegreat
Hi Darryl and Guys: How many Machine Man Robots were made compared to the other 4 Masudaya's. I see the other 4 advertised in some old ad's you can buy say on EBAY. Just wanted to know was Machine Man in the 1950's available in the U.S.A. Thanks Guys.. Fineas J. Whoopie
Machineman was definitely available in the USA. Many of us have met Bob (I can't remember his last name) who still had his Machineman as an adult that he got when he was a kid living in America. We met him I believe at Botstock I or II. Joe K. will remember the details better than I can. If you go by the number of survivors, there were much fewer Machineman robots produced in comparison to the rest of the gang. Robotnut
An update on the tag sale Robots... The man, lets call him Alex, found the toys at his departed aunt's house. His aunt kept meticulous records of everything she bought in logbooks. He is trying to find reference to when these toys were bought, but the log books are written in Shorthand. For those who are not old enough to remember shorthand, it is English that is written in what looks like Arabic characters Alex is also still looking for more of the boxes, but has not found any more. I helped him with finding an appropriate venue to sell his toys. He did not want to sell privately or on eBay, so I recommended Morphy's. He decided on using Philip Weiss, as they are closer to his home. The toys will be placed in their November auction. I'm sure some of you guys in NY will likely check it out personally...
