Steve's Bots and Rays
I was fortunate enough to get two signed art prints from last weekend's Mondo Art Gallery show in Austin. The gallery's one-man show featured one of my favorite artists, Laurent Durieux, whose a fan of all things retro and robot. He puts so much detail and eye-popping, layered inks in his limited run silk-screen prints. The Forbidden Planet 'regular edition' is the one with the green sky. The 'variant' edition (blue sky) is an even shorter print run AND features the use of glow-in-the-dark inks. When the lights go out, it has a surprise - floating above Dr Morbius' home. I love it when an artist's work shows that he 'gets' his subject. Both of these prints command attention with their 24"x36" size. Love 'em! Enjoy! -Steve
Corey Wolfe
Thanks for sharing. Very inspiring. One of my teachers did black light art exclusivly, but the thought of hiding something is really cool. Corey
