The Robot 2500 depicted is the all chrome variation.

John Rigg - Didn't you submit the "Sears 1979 Catalog" info for the current Timeline listing? If so, which color variation does the Sears catalog show?

Also, are you familiar with the other robot in this ad: Astroid wind up robot? It's one I've not seen befor. Looks like a Zeroid type. Were there different colors?

Here's a sighting from a 1976-1977 Century House Buying Guide that moves the date for the all chrome version back another year:
