Ne-Kur plane or rocket, or both?

Today I bought a Ne-Kur tin toy on a local antiques fair. The guy who I bought it from had also some other tin toys, space ships/rockets and several robots with him. Some months ago I bought a Horikawa gear robot and a Masudaya Mickey Mouse flying saucer from him. I really hope he will keep coming to this fair in the future

Now I wonder if this one is a space travel ship, or just an airplane. As you can see it has lots of windows, but you can also put it on the tips of the wings and tail, making it point upwards like a rocket.

I have tried to find this one on internet and in the database but failed. Is there someone with more information on this toy?

Thanks,

PeeBee

.

Nice pick-up, PeeBee.

It definitely does share many design features as Masudaya's X-200 rocket:

It would not look out of place among other tin toy rockets, IMO.

The name on the box would help also. No box I assume?

Ultimately, it's what YOU think it is.

Hi Joe,

sorry no box.......

It certainly has much of the Masudaya's X-200 rocket. However, it has this red dome on top, which sparkles when you move the toy forwards. Also the wings on the Masudaya toy seems to be placed more to the back of the toy.
