Joe K.
. The 1943 date for this Western Auto Stores Victory Christmas catalog appears on the back page: John Rigg found this in a 1943 Sears catalog: The "Shoot The Moon with Rocket Darts" name is as good as any other, at this time. I have been unable to find a photo of the box to confirm it's real name. The same goes for the manufacturer. Anybody know anything more about this toy? . Joe K.
. This toy is even older. Here's the 1941 dated Billy and Ruth catalog cover and the dart set inside: I've revised the topic title accordingly. .
Joe K.
The true name of this toy and its manufacturer are found on the box as seen in this WorthPoint listing: https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/rocket-darts-american-toy-works-426-1643386419 The Timeline entry has been revised accordingly. Additional information and photos can be found here: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/243403/rocket-darts including this tid-bit: So, perhaps this entry will need to be revised one more time, if and when a 1939 catalog is discovered.
