Another "Chaser" run to ground

Ah...today I unpacked a box containing a gun I have been chasing for fifteen years. :frustrate: I have only seen the gun twice in all that time, once on eBay, and once in a private collection. Compared to some other guns, it is fairly unremarkable, but something about the simplistic styling has had me obsessed to own one of my own.

I know relatively nothing about the piece; who made it, nor whether it came boxed or bagged. :scratchhead: This dart gun, probably comes from around the late 1960's. It is made of high impact plastic, as were most toys of the period and it is in near mint condition. It measures 9.5 long by 7 inches tall. It has a top sight and a reactor viewing window on the side. The bottom yellow half of the grip can be removed as storage for the darts, which, unfortunately are missing.

It is a perfect size, and feels great in the hand.

I'm thrilled to finally get one of these.

Very nice, Brady. I've seen some pics of this one, but I never realized how big it is. Great Sixties styling, too -- like something out of a movie. Congrats!

Thanks guys.

So, Alessandro, you found the manufacturer...awesome. By any chance do you know what the toy was called? :scratchhead:

Big Bang, I think you might know a bit about this one as well, feel free to jump in.

I read in a book that the gun is called "Raydart Gun". The gun was sold with 3 darts, 1 red, 1 yellow and 1 blue. There was a blue version too. :lecture:
