Posted August 11, 2013 Share Posted August 11, 2013 You see plenty of these Dan Dare stamp albums, but as usual with ephemera it's the items in their original condition that are particularly hard to locate. In March 1953 Lifebuoy Soap ran an advert in the Eagle offering the first of a series of Dan Dare stamps. Each month they issued another set, four in total, and the offer ended in about July. An album was provided to hold the collection. Stamp collectors call these novelty stamps "Cinderellas". Leonard True designed the stamps and the album. In this thread I'd like to pull together much of the material connected with these stamps. Here are two of the four packets, still sealed.
