bleep234 Posted January 18, 2013 Share Posted January 18, 2013 Hello, I bought this robot off eBay (being described as fully operational), and i just received it in the mail about 6 hours ago. However to my dismay, when I turn the robot on, none of the gears work. Only the lights turn on. I have tried gently shaking the robot. I have also tried just leaving it on. Nothing as of yet. chilli Posted October 8, 2013 Share Posted October 8, 2013 Hope you got the fella running, my Cragstan Great Astronaut would not start, the motor did run slightly when the gears were touched. I am not sure if that was because i was just earthing them , as it would do the same thing without any antenna, inserted.This lead me to think it was the antenna switch. Turns out it was the antenna switch assembly that had come apart. Easy to fix as the tabs had just lost their grip but nothing damaged. put back in place and works perfect. it does mean that the head has to be remove to get to it.
