kennetzel
Very interesting videos. I liked the Gentle Giant one myself. He reminded me of a HUGE attacking martian the way he walked. I was a bit afraid he might walk off the edge of the state with the lady dancing with him though...got a bit nervous...LOL.

robothut
This clip from 1929 shows a nice robot at a fair about 1:30 into film. M/S of a metal robot, it lifts its hand and a man shakes it. He lifts the front of the head up to show the lights of the eyes underneath. He then opens its front which shows a pump going up and down. http://www.britishpathe.com/video/take-the-im-out-of-impossible/query/robot

robothut
I finnaly got smart and put Toy Fair in the search window. Here is a 1957 toy fair in Germany that ends with a radio control doll. What is intreresting about the doll is that it seems to be the Radicon remote control system! http://www.britishpathe.com/video/childrens-paradise-toy-fair/query/toy+fair here is the link to the toy fair seartch. http://www.britishpathe.com/search/query/toy+fair
Dirk
JOHN - JUST FANTASTOMATIC!!! I can't get enough of these old bits of history! Must take my time to watch everything... BTW ... the fat man at the 1957 NUREMBERG TOY FAIR is the german minister of economy LUDWIG ERHARD. Can you get it: He simply snatches away one of these nice little dolls: BILD LILLY ... the grandma of the later BARBIE dolls... each of those would be in the 2 or 3K range today. RADICON REMOTE DOLL ... first before RADICON ROBOT... Would be interresting to know, what company came up with it??
Brian..
A great resource, John. I keep returning to find something new. Here's 1964 footage of a Oxford Street, London. At 1:03 there's Dux, large Gear Robot, Alps w/u Television Spaceman and the big Sears 3 Stage Rocket Base. I also see a Pifco Zetaray and a 3-Colour graygun. Beatles fans might also enjoy the Beatles Gonks being sold on the street.   British Pathe Xmas Around the World 1964
David Kirk
Are any on those robots missing on the time line? If this is 1965, there's the Mighty Robot with gears in the head, the RC blue robot with gears in the face, the guy between Rocket Man and Missle Man, I can't remember his name, and Ranger Robot - I know he was in my Alden's or Spiegel's from that year. What a spectacular Christmas that could have been!
Brian..
It would be worth developing this section. Here, for example, are stills of those 1965 pieces in John's earlier post:

gernot
That radio remote Control which was used for the Doll in the previous video Clip seems to be the same as Marco used for his new created Robot. He used an old radio remote Control from the German ARNOLD Toy company which came from a huge toy boat. Here is a still picture of this clip showing the remote ARNOLD RADAR MASTER Marco, can you post a picture of the Remote and the Robot you made out of it ?
