Roboto
They enjoyed their visit so much fifty years ago that they just had to come back and see us again, and like that creepy uncle with his weird wife and kids, they'll move on along when they decide they are good and ready, and since we have decided the Red Planet needs a rover we suspect the Martians will be hanging around here for quite some time. Quarantine Studio is proud to have partnered with the great folks at Topps to produce this spiffy limited edition cold-cast resin statue. Displaying the Mars Attacks alien in the ruins of the once great city of Philadelphia, stalking the streets as he gingerly steps over the frothy corpse of a hapless citizen, this handsome collector's edition figurine stands 14 1/2' tall on a 9' x 10' base that contains enough visceral goo to keep an alien happy! Tinplate6
Now, I realize this is a post for the new Mars Attacks! pieces coming out, but I thought I'd add an interesting sidebar here. I'm a big fan of the movie and have several toys and card sets myself. When the movie first came out, the market was flooded with promotional toys and such. However, one piece that apparently never made it to production was the Mars Attacks! candy heads. These were to be cast in green plastic and filled with small candies. I have in my collection, a test shot of the prototype (Doc, are you listening?). The head measures 3.25 inches, and shows the martian from the collar of his suit to the top of his head. The piece is cast in a softer plastic that the production heads would have been, but it has great details. On the base you can see where someone wrote a "T" for test. They obviously ran several for tests of plastic hardness, as I have seen more than one come up for sale.
Tinplate6
Ok, now to get back on track. In addition to the new pieces Roboto mentioned, Mezco will also be releasing a deluxe 6 inch action figure of a Martian soldier. These are designed to be more accurate and true to the original Topps artwork. I think it is the best sculpt to date.
Roboto
Now that is something they should release for the 50th the candy head item. They would sell them out fast.

Roboto
For 2013 Mars Attacks has taken another turn to boldly go where no Martian has gone before. They have started to add the Martians to a few comic write ups like a what if The Mars Attacks with the Transformers on our planet and even what would happen to them if Judge Dredd was here. I like the cover paintings.

Not many made and there cost seems to be going up. This version has the expanded set of cards with its great looking box.
