Some new Russian and Bulgarian toys

These toys have been a long time coming but they finally arrived last week. It appears large parcels are being held in Bulgaria for up to a month because of a terrorist scare and then to top it off Australia Post ran out of storage space at the local post office and so they sent it to a central store 15km away and it took 3 calls over two weeks before it got sent back to my local post office.

As it is these were definitely well worth waiting for. As you can see in the photos I've got a Bulgarian version of the magic robot game, a Russian made space truck, a Soviet made space walker and a toy gun. The gun isn't really a space toy it's actually a plastic version of the Super Numatic paper popper gun which I couldn't resist getting as it's the first plastic one I've seen.

The translation of the magic robot game title is "Robot Debater". I don't know how well it works because I haven't translated the dozen or so sheets it comes with but I do know it does all the spinning around as expected. The truck has two simple clips to hold the top on place and once you lift that off there's a battery section and a motor and light. By the look of it it uses the old 4.5volt battery you see in some of the older Holdauto's from Hungary.

...just received another Russian Space car, with a yellow version on the way too!

So wacky and primitive but that's the appeal!
