thx1138
How can you easily dismantle a horikawa's legs? The problem is that the legs are connected with a bar who are squatched on both sides. Think all the horikawa are the same. So many of you probably have experienced a similar problem. Roboto already mentioned in his Zoomer project that he used a small fine to file the big bar. Any other solutions? I have looked on the forum but didn't find directly a thread about it. Pics also always help! THANKS
thx1138
Maybe I wasn't clear in my explaining. So hereby some pics that makes it all a bit more viewable:
Brian..
No, it's not simple. This fixing was never intended to be easily dismantled. I think that it's a matter of filing one end down and pulling out the rod. Reassembly is the problem. There I'd have to defer to the experts. Roboto
Another way would be locate smaller quick fix locking washers and once the shaft has been filed down of the high points to use this type of washer. A gooble search will be needed and then you will need to get the thickness of the shaft. Looks like Space Evils have the same shaft and they came with locks washers so somewhere they can be had. :)
robobob
I've always just filed / ground off the ears so it slips through. Then when I reassemble, a little flux and solder on the end of the rod..... Presto ! :)
