ANZinSpace
Today I came across this advert in a copy of the Canberra Times dated 25 March 1954. It's for the Tudor Rose designed Atomic Space Ship. Unfortunately the ad doesn't indicate who the maker was so I don't know if its locally made or was an import from the UK. The thing I find really interesting about this is that the price for the space ship is the same as for one Moldex 4 inch high spaceman. Since both were available from Woolworths at around the same time I wonder if any kid of that period had trouble deciding - spaceman or space ship, spaceman or space ship - or did they just go on size - spaceship's bigger, get spaceship.
