Phil R
I said some time ago I would like to have some ray guns made from the 1930s Flash Gordon serials. In some ways they're strange looking but I thought they would look cool. I couldn't have done them myself so I asked JimK (Jim Knower) if he would be interested in making the rifle. He not only did a fantastic job making a full size rifle from my drawing but he surprised me with the pistol from the same series. Jim did an incredible job in construction and correcting my drawing. I had the easy job of painting and staining them. They're primarily constructed of wood.
Electric Robot and Son
Phil, Really nice space weapons!!! Jim you really did a great job. Is that walnut you used? Just the right mix of painted and natural wood surfaces. Congratulations on a great collaboration.

Phils painting is what makes these look good Trust me. No it is not Walnut. Everything is made from Poplar. It has a good grain for painting. Andyman
Just wonderful, guys! That pistol sure looks awkward to use. ;)
Phil R
True, Andy. the gun seems awkward. However, if you hold your hand at eye level and sight the gun it seems more natural. I've also changed the grip of the pistol and extended the light metallic color in the middle.
