I really like the tube on this Valvehead robot. I wish I could find more tubes with different shapes like this VT-127A tube.

Here is the last (for right now) Valvehead robot. It is the Valvehead QB3-300S. It is similar to the previous designs with a new chest litho and a front view window with a spinning led ball inside. This one also has an LED inside the head. Here are some pics.

Thanks Mark, coming from you thats a nice complemnt. The tanks I bought on ebay a while ago. The arms are made up of a right angle ball jointwith an aluminum sleeve at the elbow, Chromed brass pipe with brass compession rings for the lower arms and a drilled out cut nut for the claw. I bought the ball joints on ebay but I haven't seen similar ones lately. I had considered using other ball joints (ebay Item number: 370461864801) looked promising.

I have one more completed and one more in process. Some of these are still available to buy, but I have an offer to sell the remaining ones to a local dealer that I am considering.

I have come to the end of the Valvehead Robot Project. I finished the last two and did some upgrades on some of the earlier ones. Here are pics and videos of the last two:

Valvehead 127G This robot has a ray cannon in his body with a flashing LED and a rat-a-tat-tat sound as it moves forward

and a short video- I propped the robots up on a stand so I could video the actions without the robot moving:

Valvehead QB3-300R This robot has a clear panel in his chest with a robot inside at a control panel with a flashing LED gun and the rat-a-tat-tat sound.

I really enjoyed this project. I started out to build two for Botstock, one for the raffle and one that Phil bought. I kept finding additional cool looking vacuum tubes and came up with different antenna schemes and litho artwork so I kept making them until I ran out of parts and ideas. Finding the functioning miniature rayguns, that I was able to wire in really added a nice feature. It will probably take me several weeks to clean up my basement shop from this project. I guess that will give me some time to think of another one.

Hey! My raygun doesn't work. Seriously, those little guns have more than one use. Does he also use it to hold his space car keys? :P
