Electric Robot and Son
I built two valvehead robots for Botstock 7. The first one was for the raffle which Joe K won and now resides in the Toy Robot Museum. The second one went home with Phil. Since then I have been working on some more Valveheads. Each of the new Valveheads are different from each other. They use different combinations of vacuum tube heads (AKA thermionic valves), antenna configurations, and litho panels. They are all battery operated, with a flashing LED and rat-a-tat-tat sound. The dimensions are 7"L x 4"W x 12"H. I'll spread out the pictures over the next week. Electric Robot and Son
Here is another Valvehead robot using a different variation of QB3-300 tube. This is styled after one of my favorite toy robots. And here is a link to a video of a couple of Valveheads in action. I will post pics of a different valvehead robot each day so stay tuned. Electric Robot and Son
Here is another Valvehead robot. This is Valvehead 327A. It uses a similar shaped tube as the one Phil has. I really like this tube, but they are not common, and are hard to find...and we all know what hard to find means. It does make for an interesting head. Electric Robot and Son
Another Valvehead using another variation of the QB3-300 tube. I tried a different color on the top of the tank base on this one. I have one more finished I will post tomorrow and another one that I might get finished this weekend. All of the litho panels on these robots are based on litho from other robots. Can you identify the robots?
robobob
Beautiful stuff, Joe ... I really like the silver top on the tank base, it seems to blend better with the stainless. Keep those pictures coming !! :)
