ANZinSpace
These turned up today and I couldn't wait to take a look at them (and try them out). They're a hard plastic except for the strap which is a soft plastic or vinyl. As you can see they're definitely kid sized and the view is somewhat limiting - I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of these got broken as kids tripped over something they couldn't really see. dratomic
Nice! Love the the design... I've never seen 'em before. Nice space beard, too! ;)
Tinplate6
Definitely a spiffy pair of goggles there ANZ, and in mint condition too, I might add! I didn't notice a maker's mark however, but then again, a lot of those space accessories didn't have one. I like the clean lines, punctuated only by that "Devo-esque" cone on the top. ANZinSpace
Definitely no makers mark or country mark. I would have liked to get the other two space items that came from the same seller - an Atomic space ship and an atom ray gun but they both went above what I was comfortable with and I'd also decided the goggles were more unique and what I should focus on. ANZinSpace
Another version of these goggles turned up on EBAY - Space Goggles. Exactly the same style but in red and blue. The seller suggests they could be either English or French in manufacture and made in the 50's or 60's. So still no closer as to who made these or if they were associated with a particular space character.
