robothut
patented applied for in 1976 and granted in 1978, this seems to be the design for the ZEL ROBOT. What realy makes this wind up robot different from other wind up robots is the wind up spring, its nothing like a normal wind up toy, its like the wind up radios that you have seen or own, not the ones that charge a battery when you turn a crank but the ones that wind a large flat coil of metal from one spool to another spool. You know you wind then up for 30 seconds and they run for 30 minuts. Well the same type of wind up device is used in this toy , it runs longer than any other wind up robot for its size and the power and speed stay very constant from start to finnish.
