robothut
Robot Commando patent drawings were filed in 1960, in 1963 they were granted patent and our time line says the robot was for sale in 1961. One of Mr.. Glass's best works.
robothut
I noticed that drawing sheet #2 shows that the robot was too have two sqeakers in it originally, I wonder what that would have sounded like. Also as we all know when that red rubber sqeeker bulb turn hard over the years it jams up the works, so just think how bad 2 would have been 50 years later. robothut
Coulomb 8 line 50 talks about the two sqeakers as being the robot heart beat!
robothut
Did you notice how different the remote looked in the patent drawings! there is a good discription of the remote voice control function as well.

Joe K.
Here's a recently completed *Bay auction listing for a "minty" Robot Commando with nice, sharp photos. You don't often find the missiles and balls still sealed in their original bag!:http://cgi.ebay.com/Ideal-ROBOT-COMMANDO-M...=item20b100642cAfter 42 bids, it sold for $695.00 (+ shipping).Might someone add these photos to this thread before they slip away?
