I took a day off today. Management requested it. So I went and picked up the Dakota from Fine Line auto. Mowed over a few mailboxes the last snow storm at 0300 in the morning. They did a fine job . My wife want's to go to Michale's for yarn. So,..............a little bit later and a cart full of stuff......You could build one like it for about 15 bucks and 2 hours.

5 Eight wood balls . 1 1/2" , 1", 3/4" $2.00 [Michaels]

6 2 Brass tubing claws.

7 Two 1 1/2 Wood Finials $3.00 {Lowes]

8 2x4 cut in half and shaped on an 8" disc sander.

9 Old tank treads.

The arms are assembled by drilling holes through three of the balls, Inserting a 3" deck screw through the claw and into the 1 1/2 ball.

The legs are mounted the same way as are the feet.

Oh yeah, inside the head is the armature from and old Bulldog tank motor. Any old armature will work.

It is 11 inches tall , fun to make and heavy ! Great paperweight.
