Phil R
I bought this Space Compass at Renninger's Sunday at their outdoor pavilion while it was snowing. Usually these items are generic and used with various unrelated backing cards. This one is fairly sophisticated with a non-functioning watch, middle compass and a blue ring with planets and a rocket. Made in Japan. the earliest IPS (Interplanetary positioning System). :D
dratomic
Really nice. I've seen these before, but no one's ever posted a close up of the face before. I had no idea there was so much detail. It's really cool.
Kilroy
Hmm mine is different. I wonder if there was more than one style offered or maybe mine was switched out.
MetalRobotHead
Quite liked the Space Navigator so started searching around and found this old 1953 advert, one of those throwaway items with great artwork of its time. :D
The Toyman
There seems to be several versions on the same card, here's one of mine along with a badge (which was sold on its own card) and a couple of the other space watches I have...
Phil R
It's interesting the varied number of space related items Alphadrome members have in their collections. It usually takes someone to post to start the ball rolling on something other than robots. ;) Some very nice wrist IPSs.
