РОБОТ ROBOT (CHEST DECAL) - LENINGRAD METALWARE - USSR

Plastic wind up robot. Square bodied design. Decal chest. There are many color variations and at least two chest variations. Some versions have antennas, others do not.

Early versions (bottom right) have a big "ΛM" in a circle on the belly of the robot and on the lid of the box. They have red tin feet and different graphics on the chest, a design with an arrow and some other differences.

First sighted in a Leningrad toy factory video dated 1965. Early versions dated 1967.

Russia. Often referred to as a pobot.
