Les that is fantastic, that must have taken quite a bit of work to find all of those.

It is hard to build them when they are perfect in the box but I could talk myself into building them all. Most of the larger kits when assembled far surpass the joy of owning a mint in box kit.

Thank you for the feedback so far!

Brian and Les : I know your arguments well - but

...what if you are not - basically - a model kit collector.

... what, if you do not care or think about selling it anyway during lifetime or guessing that -when that happens - the price for the bulit model with box and instructions would be at least what you had paid for.-

or you do not care at all about profit or loss- live is short!

what if you would love to see it standing completely built among your Plastic Robot collection!

what, if you do not care anyway about the other commandments.

;-)

Martijn and Plasticaugie-  I guess we think the same way....

but still ......

I really like that funny picture on the box - the huge Robot that fights airplanes with a face as lovely as Hannibal Lecter - bends down - now with smaller size - to greet or help the two children looking like Hansel and Gretel from the fairytale with funny looking animals - wonderful!

Beautiful, Gernot.  But you mustn't destroy it!

You may pop your clogs at a moments notice (God forbid)  and one of the Dromers could be bidding for it. THINK OF US!

Before you build it, take all the plastic trees and go to a 3D Printer Store and ask them to

scan them into a computer.  Then, when that technology catches up with our imaginations, You can make

a whole army of them.

  • 2 months later...

Well, what shall I say, I could finally add this super rare Space Patrol Robot (Imai Model Kit) in mint complete condition, Red and White version almost (if not more than) 50 years old! Incredible Box art!

Together with the Manmos King It was kept for years in a friends collection until he decided to pass it along to me...thanks my friend!

There seem to be several color variations existing, this is I guess the first edition made by Imai - here in white body color with red arms, hands, face and antenna.

There is also a blue- white version of Imai and the white red version of the Bandai reissue.

Two more to search for!

Original price: 250¥en about 2.25 US$ or 2€uro -
would have been an incredible investment if you would have bought a few of those 50 years ago.
