Joe K. Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 A family reunion of sorts. These sonic control robots were all made by Hing Cheong:Miss Melody on the left, Star Robot in the middle, and Musical Star Robot on the right. The silver painted Star Robot in my collection came with an orange controller and has blue arms. With the exception of the rear and side views of this Yonezawa mini robot, not much new can be added about it.Still looking for a box and the robot's "true" name. Anyone?Lightning Robot (AS-502), made in Taiwan. Both the black and white color variations came in the same style box.I have this one in my collection, too, and neither the box nor the robot itself have a makers mark on them.Rotate-O-Matic Super Astronaut by HorikawaSwivel-o-Matic Astronaut by Horikawa. Perry tells me both of these have plastic arms and feet.
Joe K. Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Two Swivel-o-Matic Astronauts by Horikawa. The one on the left has plastic head, arms and feet. The one on the right has a plastic head with metal arms and feet.A Hong Kong Super Space Explorer, T.V. Video variation:Three versions of Billy, The Space Traveler by Masudaya. The first two are more common than theone on the right. It is the green litho color variation of Billy that matches the box artwork. Thanks, as usual Perry, for sharing these.
