Probe A Tron Robot - a Rigg Custom Robot

Appx 16 years ago (2008)  I was in a home depot & noticed an LED wearable headlamp

& mini LED flashlight. The wearable struck me as a perfect Robot face & the mini flashlight

as nice chest feature. Purchased the parts &  promptly  sketched this up , color scheme, cape cowl etc & sent it off 

to John who built the robot

 

It was prominently featured in in the Discovery Science Episode with Michio Kaku 

& now has a permanent spot in the collection

 

I was so excited when John sent me the 10 second video of the build I uploaded it to my youtube channel

It was the first video I ever posted even though I started the channel a year prior 

 

Back then there were no algorithms to dictate who saw what & it was much easier to grow a channel

I didn't really start to promote the channel until around 2020 , missed the boat so to speak

 

Anyway you can go back & re-edit videos into shorts so decided to take the 1st video ever & add Darth Vader

breathing. I always felt this would be his toy robot

When you reedit a YouTube video do you do it on the YouTube site or do you have to download the video and edit it on your computer then reupload as a short? Just curious how it works.

I did it on my phone but there should be an option in youtube studio to edit 

into a short . You do Not have to download & edit. 

It retains the original video .

You have to make sure you center the video since it will crop it

If I do it again I will try & video it to upload it as instructions

this would be a good way for you to get into shorts

So from my phone the 3rd tab from the thumbs up tab is remix 

I click the video You can set 15 seconds up to 3 minutes now for a short 

over 60 seconds you can't use music

You can manually center the video since it's cropped in short form

I'm still looking for a way to do it from the PC

There is a YouTube edit APP too,  you can use for basically do the thumbnail pic and some other things, i usually use an edit APP and do everything with my phone and then upload on YT and later use the other edit YouTube APP for some things
