Mosser Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 Hello everyone, I need help, I don't know much about vintage robots, I found these two robots in Spain, Mr robot is 525 usd and the other TV spaceman is 735USD. They both don't have boxes, Mr robot's head can light up, can walk And the TV spaceman can walk, but there is no light on, my memory is that it should have a light on its chest. I would like to know the price advice, thank you guys!
zebedee Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 the picture on the alps tv robot should move and is lighted, I think that's what lights the head , check out robothuts video's , the tv spaceman is about £350 - £450 but I've seen them for more and it depends on if it's boxed or not. hope this helps you..... can't help with the mr robot sorry...some nice looking toys in that shop, buy em all oh and welcome to the best place for your robot addiction.....

David Kirk Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 They both seem a bit high to me, especially if the lights are out, which requires tearing apart to fix. The lights in the TV spaceman are the thing that make it great. I'd look on eBay and see how they compare to recent auctions. Things turn up less than they used to, but these are two of the most common from that era.
Mick_B Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 Agree that they seem a little pricey as loose pieces. looks complete though. I'd say they are about double what I'd pay. but I'm a stingy bargain hunter. Unless you really really want them, then the skys the limit.
robothut Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Thats the first version of the Alps TV spaceman robot. There is a single light behind the moving paper artwork that also shines up to the mouth color wheel. To replace the light, you have to take the robot completely apart as the lamp is buried down inside the back of the moving artwork mechanics.
