roboz
Picked this up a few weeks ago ( in much worse shape) but it's a rare Original Space Patrol Rocket It hit the restorer last week so I'll post about it in about a year or so Mine looks like an asteroid hit it
K-9
Oz, if your previous restorations are any indication to go by then this is going to be one sweet space ride! I really like the original 'Space Patrol' lettering and graphics on the base. Looking forward to seeing the restoration photos...

roboz
Thanks again everyone To give you a sense of the project it doesn’t show the BIG hole on one side of the rocket
roboz
OK So I also have 2 of these 'project' Bally Rockets Now Brian will be happy to know that the other one that I will post about a bit later will only do a mechanical restoration & leave it essentially original since it is complete but weathered
roboz
Here is a Bally Rocket with some 'tasteful' mods
Brian..
Indeed, Oz. This illustrates perfectly the importance of sympathetic restoration. The project piece has soul, but the hyper-restored piece above looks like it was made yesterday. I wouldn't give it house room, but I'd love to get my hands on your project beauty. This is the other rocket that I'd like to try a sympathetic restoration as you mentioned once I can determine what's actually Original & what's been replaced , Say like the seat fabric & then have it aged to blend it The graphics are all original & those I'd like to preserve as much as possible
