Available to order while stocks last from www.character-online.com

Limited to 5000 units

Character Options announces its first online exclusive Doctor Who collector set of 2022

Warriors of the Deep (1984), a new 3-piece set offers a once only chance to collect these iconic Silurian figures

Character Options has today revealed the next instalment of Doctor Who collectors’ sets, available exclusively online on the Character Options website.

The new Warriors of the Deep (1984) set includes the Three Command Silurian crew of Ichthar, Tarpok and Scibus as seen in the season twenty-one episode of the same name. Perfect for all Doctor Who fans and collectors, the set comes beautifully displayed in a special presentation pack with diorama insert and Doctor Who heritage packaging. These figures will only ever be available this one time only and offers the perfect opportunity for fans to add to their collections.

The Silurians

Psionosauropodomorpha, Homo Reptilia or more simply Silurians are a species of highly intelligent reptiles with psionic abilities who inhabited the planet Earth millions of years before humans. In order to outlive the catastrophe that destroyed the dinosaurs, they descended into underground hibernation shelters, but were never revived and now many pockets of survivors lie dormant within the planet. The Silurians have attempted to re-take the planet Earth on several occasions but have always been defeated by either human weapons or by the Doctor.

Setting the scene

In the Warriors of the Deep episode, we travel to Earth year 2084. Two power blocs control the planet. One of them has an underwater base called Sea Base 4 operating deep in the ocean and strategically positioned to control nuclear weapons aimed at its opponents.

Evading missile fire in space, the TARDIS lands on Sea Base 4 in the middle of a practice missile run. The TARDIS crew are soon detected, and alarms are triggered whereupon the Doctor as a distraction programs the base’s reactor to overload in an attempt to avoid capture. This fails however, and the time travellers are detained.

We soon learn the Silurians have located and revived a group of Sea Devil Warriors from deep hibernation and together they attack the base. The Silurians dispatch the Myrka, a large marine creature, to break through the outer airlocks. After a fierce battle the Doctor surmising an aversion to bright light, kills it using a rigged up ultra-violet projector. The Silurians and Sea Devils take control of the base.

After much bloodshed, the Doctor confronts the Silurian Ichthar about the death toll whereupon he scornfully reveals it’s irrelevant as his warriors intend to destroy mankind by triggering a global nuclear war. They connect a ‘manipulator’ to the computer systems and while distracted, the Doctor escapes and discovers cylinders of hexachromite gas, which is utterly lethal to all sea life.

Unable to find another option the gas is fed into the ventilation system. The Silurians and Sea Devil warriors collapse and the Doctor tries to stop the missiles by linking himself into the computer and succeeds.

Figurine Collection Magazine Essential Box Set #1

Doctor Who Figurine Essentials Box Set: The Last Dalek, Cyber Warrior & Judoon Captain

From the last Dalek to the Cyber Warrior, collect three of the Doctor’s most notorious enemies in a single box set with our new Doctor Who Figurine Essentials Box Set: The Last Dalek, Cyber Warrior & Judoon Captain!

Doctor Who Figurine Essentials Box Set: The Last Dalek, Cyber Warrior & Judoon Captain includes three hand-painted figurines to add to your collection.

The Cyber Warrior was a new design of Cybermen that emerged in the aftermath of the Cyber-Wars. They first appeared in the 2020 Thirteenth Doctor adventure ‘Ascension of the Cybermen’, fighting against the remnants of humanity in the far future. The Doctor and her companions fought a bloody battle to save the last of humanity from these Cybermen.

The Judoon Captain appeared in the 2007 adventure, ‘Smith and Jones,’ where Samantha first meets the mysterious stranger that is The Doctor. Leading a mission to reach the moon, the Judoon Captain is depicted in the black body armor worn by all the Judoon; including a bio scanner and holster, with his blaster in his hand. In this figurine set, Judoon Captain has his helmet off to reveal his Rhino-like facial features.

The Last Dalek made its appearance in the 2005 episode ‘Dalek,’ where The Doctor and his companion Rose discover that his deadliest enemy is about to break free. As the Last Dalek to survive the time war, this figurine features the classic Dalek design, with headlights, eyestalk, plunger, and ray gun, but this time in a time-worn bronze color.

Product features:

Material: Meticulously crafted in specially formulated metallic resin and are painted by hand.

Scale: 1:21

Height: From 6.8cm!

A 16-page booklet which goes behind the scenes to reveal how each of the three monsters was created for the TV series.

The sole survivor of the Last Great Time War, the Ninth Doctor was an intense and emotional incarnation. Hiding his psychological trauma behind madcap wit and frivolity, he took Rose Tyler to see the end of the world, inspired Charles Dickens, and showed that for once, everybody could live. After Rose defeated the Daleks using the power of the time vortex, the Doctor saved her by transferring that dangerous power into his own body. The strain destroyed his every cell and as Rose watched, his body exploded with raging energy.

Due out Mar-2024 cost around $350.00 with only 500 makes!

Waking on Christmas Day in his new form, the Doctor fought the Sycorax high above London, where he lost a hand but grew a new one with remnant regenerative power. During his travels he battled Cybermen, werewolves, and possibly, the Devil itself. He defeated his nemesis the Master once more and met River Song for the first time. After a confrontation with the Time Lords, and fatally dosed with radiation, the Tenth Doctor’s song ended. His violent regeneration burned the TARDIS and sent it crashing through space.
