Recommended Posts

The Doctor Who Figurine Collection part 112 features a New Paradigm Dalek Drone from the 2012 Eleventh Doctor story 'Asylum of the Daleks'.

Thousands upon thousands of drones gathered aboard the Dalek Parliament, with these particular Daleks appearing to keep the rest in check. The Daleks had gathered for one reason: to demand the Doctor save the Daleks!

This highly detailed Paradigm Dalek Drone figurine comes complete with a magazine that looks at the history of these much-debated Daleks, plus behind the scenes during the making of 'Asylum of the Daleks' this version due out December 18 2017.

With the 10th Doctor come the Cybus Cybermen.

One type of Cyberman originated in another universe, where they were created by John Lumic, the owner of Cybus Industries and the original Cyber Controller of this breed. His Cybermen believed that all people must be "upgraded" to Cyber-form, so that information would never be lost and that the humans' physical and emotional weaknesses would be abolished. Beyond this, it remains unknown what the cyber-race would do if they completed conversion of humanity. If there was such a goal, it perished with John Lumic.

Most Cybermen escaped from their home dimension and into the Doctor's, beginning their goal anew, having been locked in the factories in their world.

Robert Harrop Special Weapons Dalek First Look

A little update of what will be next in line for the Doctor Who Collection. Pictured here is the first glimpse of the sculpt for our Special Weapons Dalek from 1988’s ‘Remembrance of the Daleks’, staring Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor.

It has gone into mould making and casting now, so should hopefully be released early in the new year.

We even have a new trend for the Doctors!

Each figurine is supplied in window box packaging and has a look that exactly matches the Hargreaves books. They are up to 15cm in hight.

Each one comes with its own labelled stand which is removable if required.

The first four follow the same release schedule as the books with more waves expected to follow, possibly along with other characters and novelties.

As you can see every Doctor has a totally unique look with features associated with their incarnation such as the hair and glasses for the 12th Doctor .

They finally made the Figure War Machine!

The TARDIS lands in London, near the Post Office Tower. The Doctor is unsettled by a sensation of a strange energy nearby. Visiting the newly completed Tower, the Doctor and Dodo meet Professor Brett, the creator of WOTAN (Will Operating Thought ANalogue), an advanced problem-solving computer that thinks for itself. Curiously, WOTAN even knows what the word 'TARDIS' stands for. In four days time, on C-Day, WOTAN will be linked to other major computers to take them over, including those of the White House, Cape Kennedy and the Royal Navy.

Dodo goes with Polly, Brett's secretary, to the local Inferno nightclub, where they meet Able Seaman Ben Jackson, while the Doctor attends a Royal Scientific Club meeting about WOTAN, led by Sir Charles Summer. Before Brett can depart the GPO Tower for the meeting, he is hypnotised by a humming noise emitted by WOTAN. He then fetches Krimpton, an electronics colleague, from the meeting and takes him to WOTAN, who is likewise possessed by the computer. Major Green, the chief of security in the Tower, is also taken over, and sends WOTAN's control signals to Dodo at the nightclub via telephone. Going to the tower, WOTAN tells her "Doctor Who is required. Bring him here."

WOTAN has concluded that mankind cannot develop the world any further, and intends to take over using an army of War Machines - mobile computers like itself. Using its hypnotic control, WOTAN enlists a workforce to construct 12 War Machines around London, which is the first capital to become controlled.

Another new release for the 3rd Doctor called The Autons.

The Autons are an artificial life form from the British science fiction television series Doctor Who and adversaries of the Doctor.  First appearing in Jon Pertwee's first serial as the Doctor, Spearhead from Space in 1970, they were the first monsters on the show to be presented in colour.

Autons are essentially life-sized plastic dummies, automatons animated by the Nestene Consciousness, an extraterrestrial, disembodied gestalt intelligence which first arrived on Earth in hollow plastic meteorites. Their name comes from Auto Plastics, the company that was infiltrated by the Nestenes and subsequently manufactured their Auton shells in Spearhead.

Autons conceal deadly weapons within their hands, which can kill or vaporize their targets. The typical Auton does not look particularly realistic, resembling a mannequin, being robotic in its movements and mute. However, more sophisticated Autons can be created, which look and act human except for a slight plastic sheen to the skin and a flat sounding voice.[1] In Series 5 of the relaunched Doctor Who series, they are shown as being able to create fully lifelike human replicas, able to fool other humans.

Here we have Harrop's version of the Alpha Centauri monster.

Alpha Centauri is an alien delegate for the Galactic Federation. The character appeared in two serials during the Third Doctor era in the early 1970s, before making a surprise cameo towards the end of "Empress of Mars" in 2017.

Alpha Centauri is a hermaphroditic hexapod from Alpha Centauri and, being effectively genderless is referred to as "it" as opposed to "he" or "she". It is tall, green, has one large blue eye, six arms and a high-pitched voice, wears a long yellow cape and walks with a nervous gait. It is prone to cowardice and hysterics. It has a low opinion of Earth, describing it as a "'remote and unattractive" planet, but regrets that its appearance can frighten humans. It regards females as unimportant.

Another new release for the 12th Doctor.

The Doctor Who Figurine Collection part 116 features a pre-conversion Patient as they appear in the 2017 episode ‘World Enough and Time’.

Seemingly unseeing, attached to a strange drip-feed, wearing medical gowns, with rubber-covered hands, legs and feet. They are the nightmare before the Cybermen, pity-inducing with their cries of “Pain. Pain. Pain,” and “Die. Me,” and just as terrifying.

This highly detailed, hand-painted figurine comes complete with a magazine that goes behind the scenes for this terrifying Twelfth doctor tale, plus Matt Lucas and Doctor Who in 2014.

Omega is known as one of the founders of the Time Lords of the planet Gallifrey, and is a revered figure in Time Lord history together with the equally legendary Rassilon; the Third Doctor refers to him as the Time Lords' "greatest hero". His name is pronounced the British way, with the stress on the first syllable, as Oh-megah. Omega first appeared in the 10th anniversary story, The Three Doctors.
