Harrop Buckley Designs Terileptil Android From The Visitation

Available to order while stocks last from www.robertharrop.com

From ‘The Visitation’ 1982

“The android’s armed. If it wanted, it could destroy us ten times over.”

The TARDIS is heading for Heathrow Airport in the year 1981, but due to a malfunction, it arrives 300 years too early in the 17th Century.

Whilst investigating the surrounding area, the Doctor and his companions are attacked and chased by a group of local villagers, but they soon escape their pursuers by the help of a highwayman. He tells them that the surrounding area is infected with a plague, which appeared at the same time as a meteor strike. The local inhabitants are burning Sulphur to purify the air and are wary of any strangers who may be carrying the deadly disease.

The Doctor discovers evidence of alien technology and suspects that the meteor strike was in fact the crash landing of a spacecraft. His suspicions are soon confirmed when he reveals a plot by an alien race of Terileptils, escaped prisoners and fugitives from their own planet, who are seeking a new home. They plan to commit genocide by releasing rats infected with an enhanced strain of the plague into the streets of London.

Candy Jar Books UNIT: A Legacy in Doctor Who

UNIT: A Legacy in Doctor Who is available to pre-order from www.candy-jar-store.co.uk

“We deal with the odd… the unexplained. Anything on Earth… or beyond.”

Candy Jar Books is pleased to announce details of its second and third books celebrating 60 Years of Doctor Who.

UNIT: A Legacy in Doctor Who explores the rich history of the United Nations Intelligence Taskforce – and later Unified Intelligence Taskforce – from its inception under producer and writer Derrick Sherwin, through the UNIT family days of Jon Pertwee’s Doctor, all the way to the Kate and Osgood era of recent years. With UNIT featuring in numerous other media like Reeltime Productions, Big Finish audio, and the Lethbridge-Stewart range from Candy Jar Books, the legacy of UNIT – and its importance to Doctor Who extends beyond its television appearances.

UNIT is as much a part of the tapestry of Doctor Who as the Doctor, the TARDIS, or the Daleks. The organization has been part of the show since the Cybermen first marched down the steps of St Paul’s Cathedral in 1968’s The Invasion and continue to be one of the Doctor’s closest allies in the battle to save humanity from the galaxy’s greatest threats.

The Wrarth are coming!

The Wrarth Warriors were created from the five strongest species of the Wrarth Galaxy. They were arthropods, with a tough chitinous exoskeleton. With their external skeleton acting as a skelo-shield they had formidable strength. Their eyes were like large lights and gave them excellent infra-red night vision (susceptible to ultra-white light). They were also said to have a yellow glow. (AUDIO: Doctor Who and the Star Beast) Their teeth were razor-sharp, and their tongue were developed with digits to secure their food. They had a giant detachable claw on the left arm and a five digit tendrilled hand on the right.
