Another new addition! Cybershade

From ‘The Next Doctor’ 2008

"Tell your masters we're not waiting till dawn. The CyberKing will rise tonight!"

The Doctor lands his TARDIS in London on Christmas Eve, 1851. Overhearing cries for help, he encounters a man calling himself "The Doctor" and his companion Rosita, attempting to capture a Cybershade. The Cybershade escapes and The Doctor comes to believe that this new Doctor may be a future incarnation of himself, who is suffering from amnesia.

The two Doctors and Rosita combine forces and discover that the Cybermen and a Miss Mercy Hartigan, their human ally, are kidnapping children to use as slave labour to build and generate the power necessary for the "Ascension of the Cyberking!"

We now have the addition from the 3rd Doctor called the Ogrons.

Ogrons are low-intelligence, ape-like hominids who live in scattered communities on an unnamed planet on the outer fringes of the Milky Way, far from the central spaceways. The dominant lifeform on their home planet is a giant slug-like lizard named the Eater, which preys on and is prayed to by the Ogrons.

Ogrons are hired mercenaries. Those who have employed their services include the Daleks and the Master when he was working for the Daleks. On some human planets, Ogrons are employed as police officers, usually led by a mentally augmented leader.

The new look for the 13thDoctor.

As always, there are hints of previous Doctors in the choice. The boots are reminiscent of Matt Smith's Eleventh doctor, while braces were a choice of the Second, Patrick Troughton. The coat's colour is a reminder of the Fifth Doctor's (Peter Davison). The rainbow stripes are a nice motif running through the jumper and coat trim. The braces-over-sweater look has already been compared to Robin Williams' alien Mork in Mork & Mindy!

Jodie Whittaker debuts as the Thirteenth Doctor in this year's Doctor Who Christmas Special 'Twice Upon a Time', Peter Capaldi final outing. She will be joined in the new series, now in production, by Mandip Gill, Tosin Cole and Bradley Walsh as regular characters. The new series will consist of slightly longer episodes in a shorter season: a ten-week run of 50-minute episodes, due for transmission in Autumn 2018, and kicking off with a feature-length hour for the opening launch.

Alternative Doctor Who concepts - The Daleks

The pictures are from the Japanese novelization of the episode “The Daleks” - the series’ second arc - published by Hayakawa Bunko books.

One of the funny things of all this, is the title of it there in Japan. Instead of “Dr. Who and the Daleks”, they gave the book the title 時空大血闘! (Jikū Daichitō!) - roughly translated “Great Space-Time Blood-War!”.
The TARDIS also had a different design compared to the big blue box we are used to, the book cover shows a regular red telephone booth instead.

They finally released from the Tenth Doctor the Clockwork Repair Droids who were a humanoid type of clockwork robots.

They served on the SS Madame de Pompadour and its sister ship, the SS Marie Antoinette. The former stalked Madame de Pompadour in 18th century France, believing that they could repair their ship by taking her brain. The former wore 18th century French clothing to blend in with the people of the era and were clockwork instead of electric so they could function if their ship's power was depleted. The latter crashed in Earth's distant past and remained hidden until the Victorian era when their control node tried to repair the ship with both organic and mechanic material from Victorian London to take them to the "promised land". They disguised themselves using human skin taken from their deceased victims.

We now have this Robot Santa version.

The Roboforms were robots with featureless, vaguely skull-like heads that were cream-coloured. They were typically seen wearing full length black cloaks which concealed most of their bodies, with only the robotic faces visible. (TV: The Runaway Bride) When on Earth during Christmas, they tracked the Doctor there as they could "smell" regeneration energy. They wore bullet-proof Santa Claus suits and metal masks to blend in (giving them the nickname of Robot Santas).  They also played music in public with instruments such as trombones and tubas which were ostensibly used as flamethrowers and guns or rocket launchers. Remotely controlled Christmas tree (TV: The Christmas Invasion) and bombs disguised as Christmas ornaments. (TV: The Runaway Bride) They also used basic machine guns when controlled by the Empress of the Racnoss.

A perfect addition for the Holidays with Monster and daleks.

Details

A unique and officially licensed Doctor Who sculpted TARDIS wall clock, exclusive to The Bradford Exchange – In his many adventures, the Doctor has to manage space, time and relative dimensions: luckily though, those of us on Earth just need to manage our timey-wimey stuff. Now you, or someone you love, can do just that with this officially licensed sculpted clock.

Capturing all the excitement of Doctor Who in one iconic blue Police Box, this first-of-kind clock plays the space-inspired movement Mars from The Planets Suite by Holst, whilst the red Supreme Dalek appears at the top on the hour.

On the lower part of the clock, five iconic aliens encountered by the Doctor on his travels through space and time – Cyberman, Missy, Ood, Sontaran and Zygon – revolve around the base on the hour.

A superb detail are the terrifying Weeping Angels, eyes covered, that appear either side of the clock face, which is decorated with the Time Lord symbols of Gallifrey. Two Daleks, the Doctor’s arch enemies, appear as faux weights, alongside a faux pendulum featuring a Seal of Rassilon.

Limited to just 9,999 editions worldwide, this clock is individually numbered on the reverse and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity in addition to our 365-day money-back guarantee. O

The next issue done by Eaglemoss of the Doctor Who Figurine Collection features the Robot Santa from the 2005 Christmas special 'The Christmas Invasion'.

This fantastic hand-painted Robot Santa figurine has been meticulously hand-sculpted in a 1:21 scale and captures him in his long red & white Santa robe with hood, smiling Santa mask and gun disguised as a trumpet. This was just released and may sellout quickly.
