Need help identifying this gun (Double Action Automatic Paper Gun)

Thanks for the confirmation, Bill!  I've checked out your site in the past, and I think it's great that you're maintaining such terrific information about your family's company.  I've been meaning to post my Nu-Matic collection on Alphadrome; maybe I'll get around to it in the new year, when I have more time.

Tikidoc, you are definitely correct about the Langson Double Action Automatic Paper Gun (DAAPG) worlds fair toy being modeled after the Thomson sub machine gun, it is the only thing that makes sense for the design considering the 1933 era. I was going to make a post about this exact same thing myself, but you beat me to it! Thank you for posting about this toy and I am happy to hear you have one also!!

As impossible as it might seem, I managed to upgrade my DAAPG.  It's cleaner overall, the box has both external flaps (still missing one internal flap), and the gun has the pin that my other one is missing.  I'll probably sell my old one, if anyone has any interest.

 

A fun addition...one of the flaps has the price tag from the 1933 Chicago World's Fair with most of the text still legible.  It looks like this toy cost 23 cents.  There's a second number above it (it looks like, "2394"), but I can't imagine what that might represent.
