.

So, if I understand you correctly, Martijn, there are two different Yonezawa robots that have this same body: the (blue) Mini Robot and the (green) Police Robot?

I have never heard of this talking Police Robot before. Do you have anymore information about it?

BTW, a nice DIY robot!

.

thanks

Joe I don't believe there is a green version,

I saw a green one at xris' house, but...

I took mine green one apart ofcourse, and inside is blue as blue can be

look close and you will spot some discoloring on mine (especially around the ears/arms)

there is however a dark grey/black with chrome arms version

this one is dated on the box 1982 (sorry no pics of evidence)

I call it Yonezawa police robot because I remember I saw this title in ken russels add on ebay (memory can ofcourse fade:)

sorry i cannot read japanese.

the box bares the Y mark, no doubt about that

take notion on the arms: these robots have exactly the same arms as the noguchi "lego" rx-800 robot

marco has one mib, and this one is talking different and sounds exactly like japanese police sirens in the end of the phrasing,

mine talks and sounds different phrases and different sirens

all in all a very hard to find and rare cool little robot, thats why nobody recognized it :)

I would like to say "no actual robots were harmed in this project"

but ... I just had to butcher it  its a walking head, really, not a robot

Great work Martijn!!!

Hope every robot gets back its head!

.... But the Stormtrooper looks better with the talking robot head.

Greetings to the Land of the Tulips and Trailers.

yes the head seemed so familar and it should since I have mint in box one of those robots, got mine Ray Rhor years ago. As I recall Ray had a few of them for sale but non of them worked, so I repaired them for him and he gave me one for my collection. Any way I think it makes for a great robot combination!

Ha,I like it martijn! You should paint the body green. That body would be good to make an attacking martian! I think the head i used was off an attacking martian that was maybe ten inches tall? I could be wrong but i think it was the biggest one available a that time?

Dirk, I have NO idea what you are talking about.

Yes I know, I know... Germany produces FOUR !! robots

Roboter 700, Strenco, Dux AND ROBOTER EMIL :-)

and yes we are jealous... Holland made No robots in the fifties or sixties but we did great in the 21 century !

First we discovered the Mushroom Robot, Then Martijn several robots and look what I found recently...

Again a wonderfull FAKE robot from the Low Lands ! :)

Have fun Dirk and dont forget to come to HOORN

looks like a nice collection of robots and spacetoys landed there ! :)

Cheers

Marco
