Duxastrogirl-"Doesn't it feel great when you get a toy you were longing to have?"

Those words are so true-the real question is for how long can you "stretch-out" that special feeling before you start longing for that next item on your hit list.

On the Spawn board we call that the "toy buzz". I imagine a score like that would produce a very long lasting toy buzz!

:) Wow, thanks Campy Craig for the source for smoke ring guns! I'll have to buy one to play with at work! -Larry 7

That ray gun is way cool. I've only collected a few guns--actually more like operating props. The one I really wanted, I had to get the measurements and make myself. That was the laser rifle from the latter seasons of "Lost in Space".

I learned a lot about resin casting in the process.

Wow! That's great, Laserman. Just beautiful. I made one model ray gun -- it came out pretty well for a first effort, but yours blows it away.

Thanks for the pic!

Dratomic,

Great to hear your space gun stories.

I had the cowboy cap guns, and of course

the water pistals for summer play( squirt gun ).

I think a tin space gun or two made it

into my hand, but cowboys and Indians was

often the game.

Good for you, enjoy it.

Larry 7, shooting smoke rings at work,

sound like fun, but when the cigarette smokers

start complaining about your unfair privilege.

Smoking inside the work place don't go

hand in hand anymore...and you'll soon

get caught holding the smoking gun !

Here's a better picture of the Pyrotomic pistol... Cleaned the dust off, too. :)

You can also get a better look at the stand -- it's a sheet of acrylic with an acrylic rod. I use museum wax (also known as Fun-Tack, that blue sticky stuff). It holds tight and doesn't leave a residue or harm the plastic.
