Roboto
There machines and molds are in a Museum now and as you have seen from there newer robots they have started to use what ever parts they have left to make it happen. They have taken there Space evils and made them into fighting robots with the front panel now cut out using Dino front plates. The last evils I got from them had the inner gun in litho hand cut and punched out it did not fit well and the finish on the tin started to peel off. Even there Fly Eye heads are becoming rare. Perhaps one day MH will find a box of Fly Eyes and make a few more robots. I have been waiting for another color of the Space Evils since there last one made was done around August 2011 and it seems they only have a few NOS left to be sold in there Blue and not so well painted Black. ROBOHUNTER
I see but maybe they should make them to order? If someone wants another robot couldn't they just go in the museum and knock up a couple of them?
Roboto
The days of MH and Osaka are coming to an end due to sales of Tin Toy robots. Who is left at MH now perhaps 2 or 3 builders and Osaka is still there by name only its been many yrs since they have released new robots. Its not worth there time to make one as a special orders and if they do will you pay $1,500.00 or more for it. You can see that they still have some parts left for robots thru the Space Evil bodies and now they have gone into there Star Striders to make new looking ones its all about NOS and what is left. I loved what they did with the Machine Gun robot and how they used parts from the Dino robots to make it happen and they sold out. Time will tell as we see what is coming from MH. Even sites that sold Tin Robots are closing up. We still have Robot Island to buy from but we seem to have lost this site from Canada now http://www.tintoyrobot.com/ we also still have Tokyo Tin Toys thru ebay and Facebook and a few are coming out of China off and on. And let us not forget http://www.tintoyarcade.com/tin-toys/robots-and-space but the Classic robots of MH/Osaka are winding down.
ROBOHUNTER
Yes many people who grew up in the 60s and 70s started looking for the robots they used to own as kids plus others in the late 80s up until the present and I suppose most people have got the robots they wanted. Plus of course health and safety regulations have virtually destroyed the tin toy industry. Maybe the Chinese might take over from MH and Osaka as it's a huge market and I'd imagine toy regulations there aren't as tough.
Roboto
Would be nice to see another Video doom like robot released by MH as long as they still have a few parts left in the Martian head units. MH keeps releasing there Roto-bodies over and over again with just front panels added its like are they out of front guns and if not why not make another Space Evil with inner smoke as the doors open up instead of a smoking mouth. Ultrarobotman
Yes, I always thought that would be the ultimate space evil, with smoking guns. If they have been using walkman Roto bodies, maybe they could use their guns as well, the smoking action should be easy with the gun plate moving in and out. Just like the old Illco dynamic space fighter. Now add some lasers to those guns for a great show!
Roboto
Looks like MH has started a run on the Space Doom once more however called by another name Arrow TV. They have the same color combos with that RM logo stamp on the back battery lid and even the silver Arrow photo on the box has the Red fly eyes. We may end up seeing many other colors as time goes by.
